In Performance mode

I just bought an motif xs 7 and tried to create an performance in the performance mode.My problem is that certain voices lose there effect when I put them into the performance mode example vintage phase and nu phase doesn't some the same as in voice mode why? can anyone help me, will buying the vol. 1 or 2 e-book explain this. THX Mike

Sorry for late reply. I'm back for good this time! :) Books are not about XS, only ES and Classic.
